Its only old bikes on the Internet.

Bit of a turn-around there. This actually made me laugh quite a lot. I don't think I've ever 'thrown down' on the internet. I think there might be some transatlantic cultural differences between how seriously people take themselves in general, on the internet or otherwise.

I think I'd better shut up before anyone tries to 'take this outside'. Hehe.

Smoke and mirrors, meetings in allyways and behind old run down car lots. Poor Rumfy and co have been set up from the start as scapegoats. If anyone knew anything they were silenced. The real price fixing cartel were the Yorkshire Area Group- a secret sect of celebrity vintage mountain bike lovers. I can reveal that Gil_M is the ringleader and his real name is Michael Parkinson OBE. His second in command is Justbackdated (real name Dame Thora Hurd). Other members of the cartel known as YVMBAPFS are respected cricket umpire Dicky Bird, Auther Scargill (one time ringleader who diverted thousands from the NUM to buy Raleigh Mustangs), Darren Gough, Brian 'six Yeti's' Blessed, the entire surviving cast of Last of The Summer Wine (another ex member was knocked off after a deal on an early Cunningham went sour) and Jerky (Sean Bean) who has recently fled down south when he saw that the whole thing was about to blow up.

This cartel have opperated for years in the outside toilets and Pidgeon coups of the Barnsley area for years. Parkinson and Hurd setting up legit businesses doing decals and servicing forks as cover, whilst Gough and Blessed broke bones and bred a culture of fear and intimidation.

No one is now safe now this knowledge is in the public domain.

My $0.02

I have been here for a while and feel I have earned the right to comment from my own view point.

I welcome any member on RB wherever they have come from before and whatever their 'form' may be on other forums. I understand that some people have been upset by the actions of others (this cuts both ways) on another forum.
If someone has behaved like a dick in the past then maybe they will chsnge their ways when they come over here.
If they have not I have the upmost regard for the ability and the integrity of the Mods and the Lord Creator John and know that they will do the right thing, people have been banned from here for good reason and it was always dealt with 'properly'.

The thing that would make me pack my trunk and leave is any sniff of a witch hunt or bullying. If you have a problem with a member, or a suspicion that something is not quite right then that is what PM is for. PM the relevant mod and he can take it further / investigate.
Public slaggings on the forum are detrimental to all, and ultimately will kill this great resource for all of us who love older bikes.

Please play nicely, I have met many folk on here and have yet to come across a cretin. Please keep it that way! :D
