Re: Two heads are Better than One.......
Do you think its a fail with the Drop bars...? Open to suggestions Roly...?
I know the records were in a state of Flux, last time I enquired, but His memory sure wasn't, and Winston was a great help as was Brian, I mean, when they were presented with my stratos that was in need of a tube, he remembered the stem for it had resided in his office desk drawer for the last 20 odd years, I mean what are the odds of mating the stem that was never used to the actual frame it was made for..
I think the like frame numbers, info + specifics are patchy, given all the volume and work load over the years, I wondered many times how a small frame shop kept up with it all. I guess no one expected such a resurgence of interest in Retro MTBs, which is a great shame especially where British Steel is concerned.
I have enquired many times about the Original white Spider with chainstay mounted U brake, my missing link.

I am lead to believe these are the lever of choice for those rockin' dirt drops:

Do you know how good Chas' records were, ie if he made note of model/tube specs by frame number, and if so, who has those records now?
