Today's Ride

Hey Jonny, bring home some Mt Tam dust for your garden!

Today's ride was long (for me) and windy. Up Stanway Hill to Broadway Tower.

Past Fish Hill to Wellesley and then the usual route through Broadway to Dumbleton. Was half expecting to see Edward Woodward and Brit on the green.

Then on to Overbury. Well I had to really. Spring water for the beasts of the Parish.

Literally everything in Overbury is owned by the Estate. All property is rented, all communal land is maintained by the residents. Absolutely immaculate. Very Summerisle.

A classic Marin scene today. Fog over Loma Alta as seen from Terra Linda Ridge. And a bike handmade about 3 miles from this location.

Well summer has finally arrived here in SoCal with temps in the 90s Fahrenheit. It has been an odd winter with a very wet late fall then no rain for months and then out of nowhere we had a wet May. For those of you who do not know it NEVER RAINS IN MAY in Southern California. But since we are in this drought thingy any rain is welcome.

Pictures are, of Course, the Ritchey P-21 resting after a tought climb up Marshall and into the Wilderness Park. Got some PRs on two tough areas!

Re:

Today-Tuesday-Took a ride with Charlie Kelly-in a truck-about 150 miles into the lower Sierras to pick up a bike for the new Museum downtown. It's a 100 year old replica of a 200 year old bike called a Draisine, or Dandy Horse, or Velocipede-no pedals (they didn't come until about 1860) you kinda ran while balanced on the saddle part of the beam. They were popular until about 1820, then fell out of favor-this thing weighs over 100 lbs...
