The Sithlord Story - A cry for help....

Thanks guys :) really appreciate the input.. I Dont think I could ever give up riding totally, it seems to be a part of me..somehow a symbiotic relationship :) :? without riding ! what would I do, I have always ridden ?

Anyway I think with some help from Drew :) Thanks mate... things should settle down ,, but going to have to learn to live with a little more pain, if I want to continue to do what I Love, so if this means changing the way that I ride, bikes or the style , then so be !, I want to keep riding as long as I can :) :)

Currently looking at a few bikes, yeti 575 , ellsworths , mavericks etc... really not sure what to get , mainly because of finances , due to my injury, I have had to stop working at the mo, and being self employed , No work... No Dosh.. :( :( so I have got a little tucked away , but want a nice rig, so need to raise the last bit of cash for one of the above...

I had a specialized FSR Carbon, earlier on this year , but did'nt get on with it, so trying another route ... any suggestions would be welcome, :)

I know how you feel Sithlord, I have an arthritic back, painkillers & anti inflammatory tablets twice daily every day, or I pay the price the next day. I cannot ride a hardtail now & will prob have to sell the Gringo... :(

Commencal Meta 4 or 5

Giant Anthem/ Trance

Orange 5

Santa Cruz Heckler

All these would be on my test ride list.

One thing does puzzle me though, why were you interested in that rigid Stumpy.
Did a search for one last night and saw you had got there first, just its slightly conflicting with your big sell off and back problems.

Probably still in the denial stage!
I have heard only good things about the giant Anthem as well. I may get one when the economy is looking less doom laden.

Well to be honest , I made the enquiry for one of my friends, who asked me ages ago about 'kepping my eye out' as when BITD I used to ride one of the team stumpjumpers, 8) :) and he always wanted a one, as I have never seen another team stumpy like mine for sale, I thought he may have been interested in this one , for the right price

Yea andy, thought about a Orange sub 5 too,, but did not think it was me.. :)

Quite fancy a carbon trance, but a guy was selling one on the bay the other day, started as £ 500.00 starting bid , then two days later it went up to a starting bid of 1K so backed away... but yea they look nice... 8) :)

Know what you mean - everyone says they are great trail bikes, but they are sooooooooooo ugly, hate that swingarm. I still like a bike to look like a bike (don't ask why I ride the abortion of an Eli though, that was a moment of weakness, I never should have test-ridden the ugly thing!).
