Yea andy, thought about a Orange sub 5 too,, but did not think it was me..

Know what you mean - everyone says they are great trail bikes, but they are sooooooooooo ugly, hate that swingarm. I still like a bike to look like a bike (don't ask why I ride the abortion of an Eli though, that was a moment of weakness, I never should have test-ridden the ugly thing!).

I've always been a fan of 'Function before Form', no point in having a gorgeous bike if every time you ride it you can't stand it's ride qualities, you may as well just buy a garage queen & never ride it.

Sub-conciously I must agree with you or I would never have bought my monstrosity, but I suppose I have been exposed to too much pretty stuff on here!

thats the easiest way to do it. gorgeous garage queens (that stay that way!) & fugly modern bikes that you can ride the crap outta & not worry about cosmetics

theres been a lot of good modern bikes already suggested. I'd suggest test riding them all & choose which YOU prefer to ride, just make sure the person setting up the shock & forks for your body weight knows what they're doing or it'll feel rubbish regardless

It's one of the very few moderns that I actually like the look of! Wanted one as soon as they came out! Classic of the future for sure!
