Don't hold me to that I could be wrong mines anearly one
I love inconsistent seatpost diameters26.8 was 91/2
27.0 was 93-95 but also around half of 96
27.2 is 97 onward
If a 27.2 is too tight it’s likely as a 27.0 has been used prior and the clamp it’s squeezed in.
I was thinking this. My dad had it from new. So maybe he’s put a 26.8 seat post in and closed the seat stem gap up tightening it.26.8 was 91/2

That is a nice looking bike, enjoy!Hi folks. New here (1st post actually).
I’ve acquired my dads old GT Zaskar LE.
Think he purchased the frame in 1998. He became ill about 8 years after purchasing it. Hasn’t been ridden for 17 years.
16” frame. All Shimano Lx. Pace carbon forks. Mavic X517 sup rims built by Dave Hinde. Brooks titanium saddle.
Going to strip it. Clean and polish the frame. New sticker set. Might put drop bars on if I can figure out what gears work with what best road/ gravel levers.
Will probably have lots of questions to ask. Sorry in advance.
