If it were me, I'd semnd it back and get them to do the dream job you specified them to do and paid for. I was going to send a frame to colourtech as I'd heard that they were cheap, but good, but this would prove otherwise.

I'd also perhaps bring this thread to their attention, as this promotion of a bad ob won't be good to their business, and the only way they can rectify it would be to give you what you asked for, and post the proper job here in testament to their great customer service.

Retrobike does google very well, so I don't imagine it will be long before this thread appears top of the list when searching for terms like frame respray, colourtech etc, especially if we mention them enough.

as few others have said, Its close, but no cigar.....As nice as it is, every time that you throw your leg over that with love, it will always be tinged with regret that it is not exactly what you specified.......


Like Mr Aeronaught said, take it back in person......get a mcDonalds bag of muck and sit in the middle of the shop speaking to every customer who comes in until they agree to do it again to your satisfaction.......This works.

On the upside, the colour choice, while being a bit 'ghey', looks spot on!!!

Id be dead straight with them and tell they sort it plus 50% refund for all the messing around or it will go to court, send that via a recorded delivery letter and give them 7 days to reply, that way they will know you are serious and probably just sort it for you, they wont make a mess of it because they know you will send it back again and demand your other 50% refund

I agree with LGF, this is the one you've dreamed of, you could build it up with your dream parts and still hate it. It may be a great paint job but it's not what you wanted or asked for.

I'd get it back to them, talking voice to voice if not face to face is far better than emails. I'm sure they know how passionate cyclists can get over their kit.

They didn't meet your brief, painted to the wrong specs and failed at the first hurdle.

It's all going back to Colourtech next week, as LeGrandeFromage has said I will hate the bike unless it's right....

Thankful I have other bikes to ride.

Have noted court action and this will be being mentioned, I would think two weeks is suffice to strip, and repaint the frame? Have new decals for both frame and forks on their way from Gil.

You need 30 days between notifying the company of the dispute and commencing Small Claims procedings.
