Do you mean the rivet nuts? I've used a hacksaw to remove ones that are already loose- don't know if you can drill them out otherwise?
LBS to put new ones in- unless you want to buy the (very specialized) tool!?

Yes the rivet nuts. I was thinking drill them out and then make a tool as per a few online guides.

Sounds like a plan- although the LBS has only ever charged me for the rivet as it's a 10 second job...

I personally like them in anodised colours. Plus much rarer as everyone has a BB Zaskar

Nothing wrong with that. One of my favourite things I've seen is a guy who welded twin laterals to an old mtb frame for a ratty breezer look

I always use a Qr in a hub wound right up to fit rivet nuts
