Sorry i cant help you.

I hate that i dont know about cars!

Most of the people on here would say neither do I.

Definitely if you thought the RS1600i was rubbish... It was a homologation edition and only destined for a short production to allow it to be raced (over 8000 sold).

The one you drove must have been badly set up (adjustable camber and so on) because what they lack in power (mine was dyno'd at 117 bhp at the wheels with an aftermarket Janspeed manifold and exhaust) they made up for in handling. Mine was driven in anger and kept up with a race prep'd MGB V8 with almost 3 times the straight line bhp. Sadly I wasnt driving but loved seeing my car thrashed... sort of!

My car was white with 'KEV***Y' for a number plate, just a couple of digits from the press cars.

I sold it... stupid stupid stupid...

I loved my Golf MKII btw, and my Passat (when it worked) and quite fancy an early Polo...

Incidently they were made in Germany too...

Set up badly or not,It was rubbish! And the only one I've driven.

Maybe yours was good, but I don't have any feelings for the cars and never will. I do like the fact other people enjoy them though.

I'll keep my old, slow and poor handling VW's thank you.

al. :D

Thanks jimihendrix. :D

By the way, get some proper offset wheels for your Polo.

You can have it lowered a bit more then, Kids!!

Na, i like the Scalextric look :), besides it's low enough for me, the roads round here are crap and i'm quite fond of my fillings and spine.

Had my last one lower for a short time (on coilovers), it was terrible, could hardly drive it, also there was the small problem of not being able to get a jack under it without wedging a fence post under it first

But say you did have a bike, would it be slammed?

I do have a bike and It's not slammed!

I own many other things that aren't slammed either.

Do you sneak around at night removing the heels off your wife's shoes?

I have had a few bikes that I put the biggest tyres I could on, and enjoyed very much the sensation of tyres chafing.

Never lowered a car, though I have driven a few. I would want something I could jack up hydraulically when needed, for normal use.

Mmmm. Citroen!
