Hi,
I picked this up a few years ago from Tootyred for a bargain, it's been sitting in the loft and had several stays of execution.
I always planned to build it into a tourer, but I'm notoriously slow at starting projects and even slower at finishing them, but this is the summer to get it finished.
Its a nice big frame with a generous headtube. The frame has some tar/residue on the rear but remarkably solid and dent free. The plan is to get it powdercoated.
Not 100% sure of my colour choice yet, something nice but don't want to draw too much attention, possibly anthracite grey, maybe black forks. No decals to identify it.
One question, before I get it painted would it be wise to get some lower rack mounts welded to the forks and a lamp mount whilst I'm at it?
I assume it wouldn't cause a loss of strength to the forks ?
Anything else I should consider whilst it's a blank canvas ?
