Hello all. As some of you will be aware I have had my modern P7 pinched via online fraud which means I probably can't make a claim or get the bike back so it looks like costing me £835.

The fraudsters are based in Liverpool/Southport and have advertised the bike via Facebook (seller Kayleigh McLean) and on ebay (seller bcsuv-1). The ebay listing finished with one bid so it may well have been sold on.

Please can you all keep an eye out, especially if you know anyone who has just bought a second hand P7. The bike is still registered to me, I have the frame number and registration number. The bike stands out as I upgraded the wheels to Hope 35's on blue Hope Pro4 hubs. The forks have a small paint chip on the bridge and there's a small but noticeable paint chip on the bottom side of the downtube, near to the bottom bracket along with a bit of tar that I doubt they cleaned off. I can identify it further if anyone spots it.

I did not sell it with the Reverb post or Saint pedals so they won't be on it. The front tyre had a puncture that had re-sealed but I also included a brand new tyre.

Probably a fruitless task but plastering it across the internet can't hurt. Apologies for posting in retro chat but this section has the widest audience.

Re:

Oh, and if the pictures look familiar you probably saw the ebay ad as the cheeky f**kers used my pictures for their listing.

Re:

Bastards! I don't suppose there's any chance the police can get the bike from the buyer and the buyer claim their money back from PayPal (on the basis that the bike is not as advertised: it wasn't listed as 'Stolen'!).

Re:

If it's sold via ebay and PP I expect any buyer could get their money back. They were not to know the bike was stolen so will be covered.

Re:

Yep, you'd expect between the Police, Ebay and Paypal it wouldn't be that difficult to at least have a go. Unfortunately non of them seem to give a stuff so far, even with all the evidence I have.

Re:

I've copied & pasted it on 5 different Facebook sites for MBT's, some are waiting for approval so don't know how many admins of said groups will post it but it's on a couple already..

Re:

Would have done but it was advertised before Paypal took the money back so at that point it was the buyer who had lost out. These f**kers obviously know what they're doing.
