I've copied & pasted it on 5 different Facebook sites for MBT's, some are waiting for approval so don't know how many admins of said groups will post it but it's on a couple already..

I know its hard to discuss, but from looking at the prices hes sold on at, comes to over a thousand.

I'd contact the F****** prime minister for F******* answers. A link to this thread included.

Or even force the police of courts to act with a civil suit, either against the criminal pos or against the police for failing to act.

Im more than sure if you phoned the police to express concerns about a neighbour driving uninsured, they'd be round there in a flash.

I'd see this as a principle action. One that must be resolved as everything we hold dear is at stake.
Get down that local cop shop and start demanding answers.

And take names too, with the note that all is going to your report to MP/local Councillor/ Boris Johnson :?

Theres a thing. Contact cycling MP's and ask their opinion on this. A simple email, not too strongly worded and chock full of concern.

Re:

At least if nothing else, report the wheel auction to eBay as the sake of stolen goods. Get the seller info first, take it to the police and demand action.

In the ebay ad it was sold without wheels, so above wheels could be from it.

Also a good point above, contact you local Parlimenty candidate. Only needs to be a letter or a phone call if you can get through. They always act as its in their interest, might even get in papers, so they look good. And like i said, a headed letter will get things rolling and get the lazy bstds off their asses, without doubt!!

Brocklanders023 - this all shows the power of Rbike with a large number of people scanning ebay etc - really good. I know that the police will say ‘need definitive proof that these are yours’ so you will need to do some work to make sure - any unique ID on anything would be good. Interesting that the apparent thief managed to advertise the wheels AND exact spare tyre which you put in your first post....brainless. If there’s any retailer stock ID on the box that could be important if it can be retrieved. But collect all the ebay image you can, including anyone here who caught the sale of the frame etc. There’s a full electronic trail now. The losers now are likely to be those who bought the items in good faith, should the police take action. This kind of thievery affects very many people and in a very adverse way.

I'm amazed the police aren't doing owt when you have the serial and all. I once bought what was genuine software off ebay. It wasn't. I reported it via an online police portal for low priority stuff & was surprised to be paid a visit & updated with the pending prosecution of a prolific pirate. Police had gone into payment services & everything.

Re:

Action Fraud might be a better bet than the local police: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/repor ... yber-crime. They were pretty proactive when an elderly family member of mine was stung by a ransomware hoax four years ago - and the buggers were caught, eventually. No doubt, they have targets to meet, and if there's plenty of evidence, this one would be an easy case - and they'll be used to dealing with eBay and PayPal I should imagine, much more so than the local police station.

Yes, these are my wheels. I bought the spare tyre as the front one has a hole that has deformed the tyre. Thanks for the heads up, I am investigating.

Thanks for this. When I called the Police they put me on to Action Fraud so that's where the case is sat atm. Let's hope for the best.

As for contacting my MP....... Mine's Julian Smith, the chief whip, who is absolutely useless. I wouldn't waste my time. If I can get an address for the wheels I will be going over though.
