Hi, I have just acquired this an have no idea on what year it may be? Approx value? I’ve only ever been into Marins. Can anyone assist? Thanks

1997 Sworks M2 looks like, with upgrades to the front end (handlebars, stem, fork) and not original wheels but same brand.

I am aware, I don't think that's what I posted. I already knew this. The 1994 M2 rigid was last with a 1" AFAIK

This is what you have written on page 1:

"Headset size also varied. Until 1994, all M2 frames had 1” headtubes. The 1994 S-Works rigid model (and the base M2?) retained the 1” headtube, but the other models had switched to 1 1/8”. By 1995 the 1” size was gone from the lineup."

I am saying that is incorrect. They had both sizes before 1994 depending - I suspect - on whether originally equipped with rigid or suspension. I have had 1992 frames with 1" and with 1-1/8" head tubes.

This is a SWorks Steel from 1991.
Some year ago I sold a complete bike with this frame totally original, with Suntour XC Pro groupset for about 1000 Eur
