Speaking of AMP forks...Best Lube for Elastomers?

I got an F2 and and F3. Elastomers (positioned inside the coil) squeak on both. What's the best lube / grease / product that does not damage the Elastomers? Anybody know? The owner's manual doesn't specify.

Thanks for the info. That was going to be my next step. I figured someone here that has AMP forks might already know....since these forks tend to eventually squeak sooner or later.

Mine have a spring, which apparently can squeak, but there are some recommendations in the manual for that.

While we are on the subject, what do you use for fork grease these days? my small [very old] pot of Judy Butter has finally run out. Any recomendations?

I got a reply from AMP. Brion (AMP bike guy at Amp Research) mentioned that the elastomer is just in case the fork bottoms out on compression. Mine also has a small square rubber stopper on the bottom link, so I can just get rid of the elastomer if I wanted, since later units didn't even have them. He also mentioned that it's most likely that the spring is what it squeaking...like Orange71 also said.

I use to use graphite grease, that you can get from any motor factors.

Was going to ask this question myself, i remember that i used to use a grease from work but can't for the life of me remember its name. IIRC correctly supposed to use a petroleum free grease? (so as not to attack elastomer)

I have been using Silicone grease, which is also a dielectric grease used in electronics. I have seen Silicon grease also sold in plumbing supply stores for greasing valve stems.
