Puddles are great.

Especially for shared paths with pedestrians

Always wanted to take a picture of the bike in this puddle/bog, now the water is lower and I can see it is full of bits of fallen tree I'm glad I didn't go wading in. We did jump in it as kids once as kids can be very dumb, we were filthy and had to wash as much off as possible in a nearby stream so nah.

Not sure if cheating, also not fussed

This was a reservoir but it is now privately owned so the waters which used to feed into it were diverted and now it can only be filled by rain water so levels are much lower than they used to be.

I don’t think we need to get into strict definitions of the word ‘puddle’.

I am starting to wonder if, given the drought affecting a lot Europe at the moment, there should be an alternative thread called ‘Bikes and the Complete Absence of Puddles’.

Not stopped at the puddle for a while as it is just after a few miles of climbing and by the time I reach it I have just started picking up speed but I did today. It was even bigger the other day but had people there so I didn't want to stop.
