The Steve Irwin crew retaliated with 8 liters of rotten butter forcing the fishing vessel to retreat and to stand off.

Cheers for the Sea Shepherd link TinTin!

Some times they are wanting staff. 6 months no pay but all the fun you can have pissing the Japanese off and saving whales, sharks and other wonderful animals.
If i could swim and tie knots then i'd pack the office job in and join them in the fight

I have watched these threads with amusement...

I think bikes that bring nostalgia have just as much a place as 'dream machines' round these parts. As a lad I had a raleigh mustang, a team banana, and an ascender. They all died a death down the pit or on the local bridleways, whereas my first proper MTB (a Diamondback, 1995) is still going strong (well, the frame and forks anyway). That doesnt mean we didnt all love those old heaps. Id still ride one now, just for a giggle, In the same way I hanker after the first car I ever drove. But I wouldnt use either every day!

Bang on Fingers

Would love another AX GT btw but not to use everyday.

These two Mustang threads have stopped me in my tracks on my favourite website.

You see my interest lies in the average stuff, budget builds, tip finds, etc. as that's what I build, ride and love. I'm 37, slightly overweight and I'm not going to win the Tour de France anytime soon so I can't see how some Yo Eddy or whatever is going to improve my riding.

Anyway one of my current (WDS?) builds is a Diamondback Ascent that I had from the scrapyard. I've gone to the trouble of stripping it back to bare metal and getting it powdercoated (work freebie) and have started putting together what I think will be a decent looking, light bike.

The question is, after the Mustang threads, shall I bother posting it in the <98 section or are we all now aspiring to greater things?

As fingers said
The absolute elitist attitude is quite rare on RB so don't worry. I think the main point of focus was BSO's of the day, not the entry level or mid range MTB's, although a small minority will also include these as WDS's.

Just build and enjoy 8)
