I never quite 'got' the SNP. They claim to want independence from the interfering, centralist, controlling influence of English politicians who have no stake in Scotland.

But when Scotland gets that independence, the SNP immediately want full membership of the European Union: an unelected, unaccountable, un-audited, unquestionable totalitarian dictatorship.

There is no prospect of Westminster pulling out of the EU, so it is not really part of the picture.
