Sleeves and covers of your youth

Our attic is far from hot at the moment but you have made a fair point. The solution is me getting a house for my stuff - albums, CD's and books. I could also listen to the music there - without headphones.

Sounds like i am 20 again!!! LOL

If your attic is anything like ours, then it is an ice box at present, but changes to the inside of a cooker in summer.

So, in winter all is well, apart from moisture getting to the sleeves, but in summer the records could easily warp and be ruined.

They are tightly packed!! I did wonder about the CDs as well, damp and the sleeves. 800 plus CD's did not come cheap.

A question - if i want a new album is it cheaper to but it on iTunes or on CD and then upload to my iPod? I like the physicalness of the CD and vinyl is even better but i am wondering about the iPod stuff as it is new to me. Am i a Luddite?

Richard

I have an iPod but generally buy the cd and transfer it. Cd played at home. iPod for travelling.

Neil,

Umcompromised? I was not a fan but it has given me access to all my music which i never really had with CD's as there were too many to look through. For accessibility it is great and for boring my wife when i find songs i have not heard for ages - Ole Man River being tonight's stated case. LOL

The above album on iPod - with headphone

Does it get any better?

I shudder at the thought of vinyl being stored in a nice hot attic.

Here's a couple, both owned from new.
