...is....are a pair of 'plastic' SRAM 9.0 levers considered 'Retro'?

Hmmmmmm?

I am rummaging through my boxes of bits and bobs which has resulted in a lovely little treasure trove of old parts ready to go onto a new frame, when I decide what the hell that is going to be.

Found the SRAM levers, and I'm stumped "But they're plastic shite' I hear some of you cry, yes but they're also well light and worked perfectly fine pre-buying disk brakes.

...so, over to you chaps!

I thinks plastic is plastic even when you call it " thermo " plastic....'ere hang on; that is plastic.
Levers need to be metal to be retro I reckons.

I got some of the white SRAM 9.0SL levers, they are made of 'plastic' but a special plastic called Grilon, its formed under very high temps and we use it at Rolls-Royce to make hot air direction nozzles for the engines, the levers are designed to bend rather than snap off, they are more flexible than metal ones granted, they were made in 2002 which im not sure is classed as Retro yet

Mine were from when the team were sponsored by SRAM. I have some Kooka and Avid SD levers somewhere, have my sister on the case as I type up at my parent's place. :D

Mind you, anyone come up with a pair of white ( or even rarer red ) Sram hubs and I'll pull yer arm off in the deal. Mmmmmm......Sram white hubs....mmmmm!

Yes your rite about the white hubs they look ace!

As for the levers they work well are light and look real good with a carbon bar. IMHO. Also they aren't the boring same old same old!
