Thank you all for the input. Given I don't have a bench vice available, I will try with a cassette and chain whip. If I can do that successfully over the weekend I may have time to go to the powdercoaters on Monday!

Although I am sure it would be great for my wheelbuilding technique to build it into a wheel to remove the freehub that might not e the most time-efficient option, especially with then having to disassemble it immediately afterwards.
