This is a very special bike, I like Raleigh, hub gears and comfort. Would it be sacrilege to suggest some Weinmann centre pulls to aid braking?

It would be tricky setting up a outer cable bridge for the rear brake.

Soma and Surly do an anchor that fits over the seat clamp bolt. There are also single sided ones the clamp under the bolt/cap head.

It may have been said there are better hangers available. But it would stop well.
