Raleigh Dyna Tech appreciation and information thread

My Torus XT 1993 medium
I bought this as a frame a few years ago.Now I have Marzocchi Z3 lites on it and used it as a town bike. Its a little big for me, so I cant use it on the fun stuff.
I shotblasted it, but the shot had been used on iron before, so the titanium got contaminated with traces of steel, which got rusty. I like the result, rusty ti. I tried cleaning it but it seems there to stay
Currently I have broken collarbone and done my ribs in 9 places, so considering selling as I'll be better off on a full sus when I can ride again. And want to take it easy
So do you like it?
And do you think I'd get much for it, as it is, or should I hang on to it?

sorry cant get foto to work yet

Re:

So today I picked up a very nice RSP550. It's a one owner bike which has clearly been cherished. The sizing seems a little odd. The seller was convinced it was a 16' but didn't have a tape available when I went to collect. It's definitely not a 16" frame - more 16.5"ish c2c, 18" c2t. I'm finding it a bit big. My other bikes are all 14 - 16" c2c. I really like it and clearly need to make a few adjustments, but riding it feels odd, and stretched out.
It may be that I don't keep it. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I don’t have a Dyna-Tech as of yet but I’m keeping myself busy with these.

M-Trax Ti2000 bought via here, which is going to get new decals when I pull my finger out (decals from Gil already here) and another recent purchase is the Ti3000 frame on the stand.

That will be a near catalogue build I think.

Lastly a later M-Trax 300 frame. Undecided what direction to go with it, but I’m thinking period build with higher spec parts....we shall see.

It's an 18".
They're measured center to top.
So whatever else you do, the top tube is going to be on the long side.

Re:

That's what I thought, but i sent bikemeister2000 pictures and he reckons it's a 16". I'm going with an 18" because of the c2t measurement. In which case, I'm 5'4, and it's just a bit too big.
Because of the gauge of the tubes, I would have thought that the top tube and down tube would merge at the headstock, similar to my m2 Stumpjumper which is a 15.5".
Just been out and done a 25 mile ride on it and had to stop several times to move the seat, in an attempt to find a comfortable position. My weight feels like it's too far forwards on the bike.
The ride quality of it is like nothing I've ridden before, so supple. But it's going to have to go.

The stem is pretty long too, is it worth trying a shorter one before moving the frame on?
