Preferences...Your favourite ranges and eras?

Sitting having the usual breakfast of tea, muesli and retro bike videos this morning, i realised there are definate favourite eras for certain mountain bike companies and ranges for most of us.

Got to thinking as i headed out to into the nature, that mine are (so far realised):

*Specialized - 1993/1994
*Pace - 1997
*Merlin - 2002
*Marin - 1987/ 1988
*Cannondale - 1999
*Kona - 1993/1994
*Klein - 1990 (ish)
*Muddy Fox - 1987
*DeKerf - 2000 (ish)



What are your preferred periods of retro ranges?

Pretty much the same really, although always loved the late nineties Orange frames too.

GT = 1989-91 again the paint
Marin = 1989 - dayglo forks, always wanted the blue fork browning SE

Yeah I wsa going to say Litespeed from around then too.

yeah, 2002 Merlin. I like the slopey top tube geometry. Never loved the upright Indy Fab and Fat Chance geometry much and they were quite similar shaped. But I know they were great and all, just not so much of a fan as after the switch over believe it or not.

Sunn - 97ish, when I was flown out to St Gaudens to meet Max and chums for a job interview. I turned them down, but am still not sure if I regret it!
