This is probably a long shot on here but here goes anyway.
These are for protecting the metal uprights on warehouse racking from forklift truck damage
They will withstand a silly amount of force which usually would result in expensive repair job involving emptying said racking completely etc.
Anyway they usually cost £24 each
I have approx. 45 of them all new unused and want £10 each
