Orange identification help, please.

My clockwork doesn't have a chainstay bridge for the record..

It looks like a 92 vintage.. my gut instinct is that its a clockwork as it looks a lot like mine in the details.

Only weighing it will tell you for sure though.

Prestige was was the high end steel model of the period.

check the serial number. it should start with A and then the year. for example A3:1993 and the two numbers after it are the month

I took a quick look at the frame at the weekend, the frame number does start with A but the year didn't follow, I think it was 03 something... The head tube is 1" and there is an odd-shaped bracket welded just above the bottom bracket which allows a cable run for the front mech. The frame is very light! Does this help identify things further? Thanks

sounds exactly like my 92 prestige.

Sounds exactly like my 1993 clockwork frame that I have just gifted away.

Lets face it, unless the frame is weighed & compared to a known sample of the same size, then there is no sure fire way to differentiate a 92/93 prestige from a 92/93 clockwork.

Either way, £50= a bargain and a half!
