Moving to Scotland (Perth)

Good morning

well it seems I will be making the move to Scotland shortly with work.
Having only visited the country twice I am not that familiar with the region of Perth and was looking for some recommended areas to consider renting.

Work is on the outskirts west of the city and I am happy to travel about 10 miles daily in.

I do have some desires, one obviously is good cycling area both on and off road, forests preferred.

Also my 19mth old will be needing some care soon, recomendations appreciated.

Finally I have a Boxer Dog that needs lots of exercise and would appreciate a non livestock area where she can get away without being shot at.

If anyone wants to touch base with your experiences it would be very much appreciated.

No specific recommendations from me but Perthshire is a nice area - close enough to the big cities (Glasgow/Edinburgh) if you need them but plenty going on there as it is. Good mix of rural and large towns so plenty of choice and nice countryside for cycling, fishing, dog walking etc. You'll like it
