The really scary thing is that this is how words are developed and change over time.

Take "Orange" comes from the Spanish word "Naranja" which in turn comes from an Arabic word which I don't know.

When Narajas arrived in the UK it was difficult to say "A Naranja" so the N migrated to become "An Aranja" changed to "An Oranje" then "An Orange" through spelling and pronunciation changes.

So our gran kids will certainly be speaking a different language to us. Most European countries have government institutions looking after the language and new words, we don't. If a word is popular, it goes in the Oxford dictionary and that's it, it is why our language has changed so much since Shakespeare, and is changing rapidly now. We wil indeed be spelling in txt speak soon.

Or in the case of Orange bikes it came from 'All Round Range of Bikes' which became the O Range Bikes (in a Ted Rogers, 321 type way an O is 'all round'), which became Orange Bikes

Strictly speaking matey, I think you would say if I ever meet him, as met is in the past, grammer is spelt grammar. Also I would say teach him to spell correctly, not teach him proper english, which sounds a bit like 'teach him proper innit'

I'll agree with grammar, and teach him etc, but pretty sure "met" is correct in this case, hypothetical past tense :? could be wrong, and probably am. The correct way would be "If I were to meet him..."
