Hiya,
I've spent much of my time going after lesser obvious bikes and then avoiding harsh and likely fragile alu alloy bikes...
Have you chaps and lasses experience of say '07ish B 17 or similar? What are they like. Old reviews they fare well, but what about now, do they break badly do they have a shelf life? Well made? Frame weight?

Thank you, everyday is a school day. :)

Think they were pretty generic ALU hard trail bikes. Like Saracen zen, or kona stuff etc.

But Marin slipped off the radar so probably a great bike now for peanuts

I'm thinking the same I remember the chunky Kona hard tails and FSers of that time but Marin drifted off into posh folks weekend XC bikes. This model is aimed at aggressive XC a label lesser seen or used, odd one really, Angry antisocial cross country riding watch out dog walkers, hikers, fishermen, land owners and doggers Arrgh! it aspired to be freeridey or jumpy but not really. Closest to what we've grown to know as All Mountain I guess, so ahead of themselves really...?

Theres little info out on em re size and geo, Apparently roomy for a small frame and reassuringly weighty at 5lbs. Might all be wrong of course...
Year in particular is '07

Sensible sizing there ideal. 8)
16" am looking at at 6ft 1 or 2 is on a good day.

Trailstar is a bit of a knee banger but fun!
