Local Rock Shox servicing?

Andy, I had suggested he pops the springs/elastomers out to check they are fine (which is just a case of unscrewing the caps). If they are shot then things get expensive (replacement ones)

Taking the lower legs off is also simple, I've told him how to do that, but it in the service manual. That'll check the legs.

No point in having them serviced if the stanchions are shot and worn.
Other than that, it's just cleaning them up and greasing them.

I've said to ignore the oil cartridges for now as they are more complicated to service (and I've not done mine to advise yet). The service manual is linked in an above post and I would have thought you where confident to undo some Allen bolts and clean it up then set the setting.
Any more of a service than that and I would think it's looking for some new ones/parts.
So other than some Allen keys and possibly a circlip pliers and some fork grease, there is nothing to a simple service.

I was wondering what sort of service was required (I should have asked eh!) & looked at the service docs, basic service looks easy as you say, the cartridge servicing was looking a tad trickier

Thanks FC
