29er phobs step away from the mouse now. I'm off the bike for a couple of weeks so I'd thought I'd post some pics whilst the bruising goes away.
My LBS is a KTM dealer and builds up frames to customers spec. I've had this since May 2013 with mostly XT kit including the wheels. It's used for one lap XC races of between 30 to 120 Kms [called Marchas] although I limit myself to 50 Kms these days. Also I use it for solo forays into the mountains with a mix of on and off road, hence the triple and unfashionable bar ends. The pictures were taken whilst it was being prepared for a race earlier this month.

Any way hope you enjoy the pics and a happy new year to all Retrobikers.

Very very nice - looks fast! 'Pic heavy' is good! :P

My LBS here in Wales is a KTM dealer too - couldn't believe the weight (or lack of) when I held one of the frames.

Re:

Love the look of your Race.

I have become a big KTM fan during 2014; first with a Revelator 3500 road bike and then with a 2013 alloy 29'er frame I bought brand new and unused from eBay.

Re: Re:

Thanks both, they're a bit special I think, mine just needs a better engine to make it really fly.

What do you use yours for, it looks VERY XC?

It's my first frame in a long time that will take two cages so it's great to ride without a Camelback. Sorry if mine looks like a Halfords trolly dash winner but it is how it gets ridden.

Re:

Mine is / was a bit of an experiment. The frame was really cheap and I had been thinking about building a 29'er, so I bought it.

The Exotic forks we already had here, same for the SRAM 2 x 10 crank, which I then built up 1 x 10 with an old chain ring as a false bash ring.

I use it for xc / trail riding, but I may well do HONC and a couple of laps of Mayhem on it next year; I just need to get used to the fact that I don't have a fast cadence, but I am still able to climb almost anything. In comparison to my 2 x 10 retromods it is very different.

Yours looks great and I may well add bar ends to mine, as they come in useful on longer climbs.

Re:

very nice bikes those KTM's, a few are now appearing in NZ due to a new importer love the orange & black colours on the carbon bikes.
