Intro from a soon to be revived biker !

One small tip......stop and think about your purchases.....its real easy to go all 'Arnold Schwarzenegger' on eBay and the For Sale Forum here and realise in six months you got caught up in the blood lust of nostalgia bike building and are left with a bunch of disparate/incorrect parts

Only talking from experience

Look at my sig.....I only had the Pace when I joined here, I already have plans for 3 other bikes not on that list

I do tend to jump into things, all Gung Ho !

I started collecting WW1 medal last October and my spending is already into 5 figures :( (sad you may think, but strangely addictive)

I've just sold a few to fund my bike :)

29, I did the math and got 23+ like a nug but 29 is fair enough, with 6 years action I bet theres lots info/wisdom in the memory bank ;) Still young enough BTW, its attitude and the want to go playing on bikes that matters, if ya want to then thats all ya need.

I kind of agree about the buying loads of bits, I've gotten more picky since I been on here with these lot, its tricky getting the right bits, loads harder than buying bits from a shop which makes them nostalgialess. :?

Neilll I like the old avatar better, bring back the donkey! It was the donkey wasn't it?

Yeh, I didn't work it out to the exact year but I was about 13 when I started and 18 when I stopped. This is when I passed mt test and my driving instructor told me I probably wouldn't need or use the bike anymore and waved £400 in front of me.

I snatched his hand off and went the pub

It cost me about £1500 to build and I've regretted that sale ever since

Welcome to the site, I think a new P7 build is in order here!

Youth category was great wasn't it! I managed to pull off quite a few top 10 places back in 91/92.....moved up to the sport category though and got blitzed!

A new P7 build sounds good to me.

Anyone got a frame going ?

I've found an old photo of my P7 and it's brought back some fond memories.

Just starting to remember all the bits. I've been out of the game for a while so my memories a little hazy.

Onza pedals (what were they called ?) Red Ti
Adidas Tremalazo shoes
X-Lite S/post (which replaced a USE)
I replaced the Mavics with Ano Red campags. Blue nipples and Blue Hopes, Red Ritchies.

Blue Ringle Zooka
Red RC30's
Blue levers and canti's - I think they were Camag ?

I was young and loved colour :D

Oh the memories :)

Would buy one again if anyones got a frame ?

Neil

Seen quite a few Oranges on here so you should be able to get hold of one.

Love to build up a replica of my old bike (1990 Rocky Mountain Summit e-stay) but I think I'd definately struggle to find one
