If you could have ANY car........

Here is my dream car. Chassis number 0594CM (thats been etched on my brain since I was 14) 1955 Ferrari 410S Speciale Berlinetta by Scagletti. Built for French aristo and industrialist Michel-Paul Cavaillier (also on Ferrari board in 1950's). Its a complete one-off built onto Ferrari's top race car chassis of the time with the then new Tipo 126C 5 litre V12 360bhp engine.
Now with its forth owner here in the UK. Value estimated to be £5-7.5 million.

I finally got to see this car about 5 years ago and broke down in tears in true Italian style.

Thats a dream car guys!

but thats your dream car, not our dream car

Fair enough, but I can't believe with so many wonderful cars in the world that some people dream about Ford Escorts and Estate cars. Its like saying, OK, you can sleep with any women in the world and choosing the chubby bird that works in McDonalds on Friday nights, or opting for a crafty hand job. We can all do that without dreaming can't we?

each to their own I suppose

ah, but the ones who poke the mcdonalds girl are sexually active. The ones who want film stars are celebate.

and at least there dream cars are attainable.

altho that ferrari is nice you would have to win the euromillions lottery to be able to buy it, and wouldnt be left with much change.

for my wife to bring the kids to school i would have the M5 Touring. and off course to get the food and drinks from the supermarket.

for myself to get the fresh backed bread in the weekend, i would do the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 EVO II.

for the weekends at the Nordschleife i could use a Lotus Exige or a Porsche 993 GT2 or 997 GT3 RS.

to get to my work i could buy a Aston Martin. any would do. they are so beautiful. Or, Call me insane, a Peugeot 205 GTi with a Turbocharged or V6 engine.

Since when did a dream have to be attainable? If its attainable just get out there and do it, its no longer a dream, just something you have to get around to doing.

'To dream the impossible dream' sang Matt Monroe.
