Heresy: I am not a Flite man

I'll say I wasn't the biggest fan, much prefered the vetta SL's. Got a transalp in like 96 and it has been on various bikes over the time, but no, even with a huge list the SL ti was better. So was my charge spoon ti I have on my zsaskar.

But, when building up my xizang i jsut tossed on a post that happened to have the transalp on it...and pure perfection, random setup or extra lard on the rear, don't know but it was great.

I had bought a NOS SL ti for the xizang with a bit of swapping it went from there to my R3 and back, then back again. Just couldn't get on with the SL whereas the fltie on the the xizang was great, so yesterday I put a 1990 flite reissue on the R3 to replace the SL, and it too is great, still needs some tweeking, but much much better, bit of a downer as I had been crying the virtues of the SL for 10 years...oh well.
Flite it is.

boxs says 230g (wiggle said 220g)

had my first taste of a flight re-issue 6 month ago or so on my commuter - never has my arse felt such agony. I lasted 2 weeks before picking up an xlite PSS which was like cooling balm in comparison. I don't use padded shorts when commuting but its on road so its OK.

my old bitd saddle is a Sells San Macro concors light which although looking very similar to a flight is pure heaven in comparison.

Wow, I always do especially at this time of year with the epic pot holes. Generally it makes the everyday grind a lot more bearable. That said, I rode the Explosif yesterday with a re-issued Flite and immediately felt a difference; far less give than the original ones. That's fine for me but I expect not-so for many others.

Flites are ace - the only saddle of choice for a retro-build
