Thanks all. I don't wear padded shorts and I know saddle is a personal thing. I'm going to try the charge spoon...cheap enough to test out and if it sucks...well then I'm out $30 that I can easily recoup.

I hate padded shorts!

i've ridden a flight since the 90s - it's fine for me, but I need to ride it regularly, otherwise it hurts!

I also have;

Madison flux (charge spoon); Meh. flares out too much for my liking - nothing special.

Rolls; Armchair. good all round saddle.

And the best of the bunch, that you should try if you haven't, is an old, basic Ritchey logic. probably my favourite saddle.

The Charge Spoon is the most uncomfortable saddle I've ever used. Bought one, put it on bike, cycled home, had to stop within 1 mile and take it off. Sold it on Ebay that evening.

Flites, ridden them since 1990; and I've got one on every bike I own.

Which just goes to prove that there is no right answer. it all depends on the shape of your arse.

Get some decent padded shorts, they'll make almost as much difference as the saddle itself, arguably more. Again though, you've just got to trial some out.

I always found it's how my doo dah sits on the saddle..with me attached of course, that has rarely been a long nose saddle of any kind. I value my jewels

I'm a long time lover of the Vetta TT. And more recently, my brooks swift is starting to get very nice

Flite - arguably the worse thing I had the displeasure sitting on. A jagged edge breeze block or just the seat post saddle clamp
would be more confortable. They are so bad, I refuse to vote for a bike on BoTM with them on.

This is all good stuff. Everyone posting here saying they like their flite and saddle xyz has been great because it gives me other saddles to avoid.
