I bought the frame from Harrie van der Burgt, who made the Spooky cantilevers everyone has on their cross bikes.
It is work in progress. At some point the correct pantographed chainring and seatpost might get on there, and the black Mavic rims which are correct for the team issue bike will be added soon.

Oh my! That is an absolute beauty, get yourself a decent picture and it would be a definite BoTM contender even as is. You had chance to ride it yet? A nice vintage Gios is definitely on my wishlist somewhere along the line...

Thanks for the compliments. My camera is in a removal box somewhere - these shots were taken with my phone camera.

I built it so I'd be able to ride it (hence the new tyres and bars).

Actually I've been out on it a couple of times for longish rides. I even considered riding La Marmotte on it last year, but the brakes...... I did see a guy on the way round on one, but he'd put a few modern things on for the sake of safety and lower ratios. (43X23 up Alpe d'Huez and Galibier in my current state of fitness... no way!)

It rides nice if a little "dead" compared to the lighter Nivachrome EL De Rosa (97 - it's nearly retro maybe in 2 years) I also have but leagues above the mid-80s Rossin Columbus Aelle I made into a fixie as it was so boring to ride.
