Folding work stand required - what have you got?

As per the title really, I'm after a work stand so I can bolt the multitude of bits I have together to form working and functional bicycles.

Nothing flash needed (although flash need not be a limiting factor  ), just something that will hold up a bike without falling over, and preferably one that will grip the bike by the seatpost.

What you got?

Cheers...

I bought one of those folding £30 ones of Ebay and I wish I hadn't. It is quite a neat design, but doesn't pack away that well. The bottom bracket rests in a sort of cup which fits some bikes but not others. The big drawback is that it traps gear cables which means you cannot adjust indexed gears using it and you have to wrap the cables to avoid paint damage. I managed with it until my wife bought herself a bike with indexed gears which sent me off to Halfords. Their tubular device is well made and easy to operate. It will grip a seat pin and is OK with carbon fibre.
It was about £110 but my experience is definitely "buy cheap: buy twice." The Halfods one is also much more compact to store and set up.

Thanks for the tip.

It looks like I can get either the Halfords stand, or the park tools pcs 9 stand, for about £80. Anyone got any experience with both these?
