Despicable NOTW

It was a stupid question.

You seriously need someone to define a common term?

Why on earth do you require any explanation of its applicability?

My remark is neither moronic, nor worthy of such a poorly conceived 'comeback'.

If you cannot revisit your post and consider why I responded as I did, you have little self awareness and even less facility with language.
.

OK smarty pants, define the term scadenfreude. I think the guy meant schadenfreude but you can't be too sure; I ain't predicting what he meant hence one of the reasons for asking for clarification. The second reason for asking the question is to find out why the poster thought I had exhibited scadenfreude or whatever, can't for the life of me see it in my posts. I can see it in others in regard to the staff/readers and owners of NOTW but not in my replies. But then again my defenition of scadenfreud might not be the same as his, hence asking for clarification. Capiche?

Stupid to ask for clarification? Stupid to make sure you understand a not so clear post?

"Stupid Question." Thanks for barging in with an idiotic comment.

scadenfreude

I didnt read it originally and associate it with you Pogo,i took it are referring to the tabloid gutter press in general :?

I appreciate that you read it differently to me that's why I asked him for clarification. The term seemed out of place in our little discussion...

I did mean schadenfreude; I was typing on a phone at the time while on a train and didn't notice the errant 'h'. It's a particularly hateful word that I certainly don't use lightly.

I stand by my comment that making light of other peoples lives being made a misery in the name of money making is completely incorrect.

This thread seems to have lost it's original purpose now with the in-fighting and general rubbish so I'm off now. Over and out.

Thanks for attempting to clear that up but to be honest it's as clear as mud.
So you don't use the word lightly, you think it a hateful word- but who the bleedin' hell indulged in it????

There's a fair bit of gloating and gleeful hand rubbing going on in this thread which could just about be classed as schadenfreude, somehow I don't think your sympathies lie with the Murdoch/Met/NoTW.

I find it amusing that a whole outraged, moral, cross burning mob are running around in full cry with the smell of blood up their noses. But that's not schadenfreud by any means.

Fair enough you don't want to carry on posting on this thread but I had to reply to explain my incomprehension. No doubt my mate 'smarty pants' will have something to say...

But it wasn't a deep political protest, it was just a publicity whore 'comedian' trying to make light of a serious investigation and single-handedly ruined the discomfort that Murdoch was feeling-in some way it had the reverse effect in creating sympathy for Murdoch. It also reduces the chances of there being public access to these types of inquest in the future.

Stupid little man - some people should just grow up a little before they start believing that just having a twitter account means that anyone automatically gives a sh*t about them or their sense of humour.
