Dry stone Paul.....it was a BBC news item that I and others don't agree with, do you want to censer the BBC now !!! Freedom of speach is another thing that seems to be on the decline in the UK. The PC brigade will have us saying yes to everyone and no to ourselfs every time before long

Greenstiles: I did try to censor the BBC when I worked for them a few years ago but settled for making sure they used the correct spelling and grammar instead.

Freedom of speech is great but should be treated as a privilege and not a right.
It's pretty weak to use highly subjective and anecdotal 'evidence' as the basis of an argument and then complain and accuse political correctness when people disagree with you.

Freedom of speech is a right i was born with as far as i'm concerned............privileges are given and can be taken away, there's a difference

And yes i can't spell sometimes, doesn't make my opinions any the lesser.....

banter filling the pages.....I agree in principle but in your opening thread you mentioned US.
Who is this US?
It sounds like a collective group...people like US, like you? like me?
White UK born people?

From my perspective there are very few people like me, and proberly like you either.
There is no longer is any collective responsibility...there simply is no US any more.
