Up fer grabs, My 18" Dawes Edge frameset (frame, fork + bits)

Bought off here recently and built into a commuter for a couple of dry weeks but I'm finding it too big so it needs a new loving home.

The following is copied off the seller's original ad, as I know very little about it

"... from around 1991, Reynolds 531 Magnum tubing... Very tatty paint but underneath it's actually a very nice lugged frame with cool touches like chain hanger and full rack/fender mounts! Would make a great singlespeed or commuter with a quick strip and powdercoat, plus 531 is bombproof..Will come with all that I received with it (BB, XT headset, stem, seatpost)"

Seller's original pictures copied to my flick on this link..

(Pink to make the boys wink :wink: )

It is a very solid frame and lighter than perhaps youd suspect.

I paid £25 but It owes me 20quid for a new BB so my price is £30 collected OR posted in the UK

^ I'm in London btw! :D

That's a big fish....

I thought the edge was a full sus or did that come a bit later on?
I remember seeing pictures of zebra and purple paintjobs too.

{Goes off to rummage in his scrap book}

Found it. I wouldn't mind one of these:

Dammit, it's gone, I was considering buying it back :(

Congrats to the buyer though, with a nice powdercoat that frame will look well cool, I considered doing a roberts style type thing with a white main frame and black rear triangle/fork.

Just to clarify it ain't 753, Dawes used that for later models. This is a 1990 model in 531 magnum, basically an oversized version of 531 AT. I've never seen pictures of the full sus one before but it looks like a Verlicchi type frame used by other manufacturers bitd (kona, dbr, iron horse). Nice touch with the pace fork though 8)
