I was given this bike by a friend's dad a good few years ago to refurbish and use as a work hack because he wasnt using it any more.
But it ended up being put in the shed and left there. I have dragged it out and stripped it with the intention of convering it to a single speed.
However, I have no clue what it is, other than it being a tourer (large wheel clearance and 27 x 1 ¼ wheelset) made by condor in the early to mid 80’s (assumed because of the Suntour arx / vx transmission groupset).
Dunno why or when the decals disappeared but there is imprints on both the down tube and seat tube, But it does seem to be a good quality frame with suntour dropouts and nicely detailed lugs although there is no tube type markings.
Does anybody know anything about Condor bikes of this type from this era as there seems to be precious little info on the web, and not much condor content even on this forum.
What is the consensus – worth restoring or a worthy candidate for a single speeder?
Thanks for looking…
