As some of you may know I have recently moved to Fettercairn in Aberdeenshire
It appears I have this on my doorstep.......

Now, I'm not suggesting the organised route/race - that link is just for info. However I was up there today (in car) and its stunningly pretty at this time of year - autumn leaves etc, if a trifle chilly. Actually it was fekkin cold.
I think a nice route for next summer may be from Fettercairn over the CoM to Banchory on the banks of the Dee, spot of lunch and then back again. Its not far, only 36 miles there and back combined, but with a few nice hills :twisted:
I've done Applecross and don't think this looks as severe, but it is sustained at both sides
If anyone fancies it at some point (not winter please as the snow gates look ominously purposeful and necessary) then I should be able to offer B&B facilities (well in reality more a kind of F&B, the F being for floor, bring a sleeping bag)
I'll try get some photos in the coming weeks, and yes I know its nearly December :xmas-cool:
