Anybody here a Retail or Procurement Buyer?

Not necessarily in the Cycling Industry. It doesn't matter what line of retail/product development as I'm just after some advice. Have been offered UK & EU Distribution for a manufactured product in Australia & looking to get in front of buyers suited to the product's applications. Already have some Markets to get into...I'm after some impartial advice as to questions that may be raised from the buyer's viewpoint. Would appreciate it if anybody has an interest to contact me. PM's are fine and I can elaborate more...

not meaning to be offish but why are a manufacturer asking someone to market their product if you aren't a marketing guy? be a bit wary if i were you.

Thanks for the reply...I freelance to a Marketing Agency & along with the Director of that company, we are being asked to promote his product in the UK. It's a safe product, meetings were conducted, applications already in place with Worldwide companies. So, think the 'Marketing' bit is taken care of...

ok, i would assume they would want to know lead times if they are made in aus, patent licenses, any current sales info, all the usual stuff really. i understand if you dont want to go into specifics of the product on an open forum but there will be tailored questions they will ask.

Trying to give advice without knowing the product will always be difficult.

Of course the product and our business is not something I'm willing to discuss on an open Forum...I have had a Positive response today which I will be discussing with the person in question. However, If anybody else has such experience, either employment or current business ownership that they are willing to share, they can do so in private via a PM & I'd be happy to talk to you...Thanks for taking the time to reply...

Mainly Retail...both traditional & Digital - Branding, Direct Mail, E-Marketing, Point of Sale, Print, Web etc...
