MF to Fisher to Kona this time

so frame hierarchy wise, what have i got here? I know nothing of Kona.

(she's back so nothing doing now till after tea)

Well , Konas owners are aplenty on this forum , Fisher freaks few and far between , MF also don't seem to have much of a following . IMO It's gotta be Kona best followed by Fisher then Fox

Well, back from shed. Did a straight swap of the front end despite having a choice of stems.

Note that I kept the front brakes alive throughout as they never left a bike.

Strangely everything on the fisher was a bit gritty. Can't think why. Bits were cleaned as they moved. Only snag was front mech too big so made a collar out of a split sleeve cut down and beaten into larger diameter then cut in two. Still waiting fir cable stop and seat post. Other than adjustments pretty much sorted aprt from trimming steerer when I've checked geometry with seat fitted. I quite like the red on red on red. Different. A blind man would be glad to see it. Bike number 12 since February. Comments?

Looking good HM . What colour post/saddle have you got in mind ? Maybe change gear cables to black too ?

Regarding aluminum hard tails, top of the production line only bettered by the US made KU.

Strange your's doesn't have a rear brake cable stop, first time I've seen that :?

I think it's one of their better alloominyum frames , but I'm sure there are Kona addicts who'll know more than me . Cool with sliver/red seating arrangement . Stiil go for black cables though personally . Or yellow :shock: to go with stickers if you wanna bright bike

As per Canuck, in the 97 range this was the top aluminium hard tail bar the custom Ku. That said, IMO it's not as good as the Kilauea or Explosif it you want the real racey stuff. That said it should still be good but I think that high reach stem isn't going to give you much fun (still convinced this is going to be too small for you). I'll stop with the stuck record!!
