This article is excellent because it defines what the objectives are in every step without additional B.S. that complicates and and confuses what the goals actually are.
Where I Have Screwed Up...
The selection of a short nose time trial saddle was a mistake because I made a assumption that the frame was modern enough to accept that item...
WRONG. Test fitting a old Selle Flite saddle transformed the fit and comfort of the bike.
So a new long nose saddle is needed and I decided to actually do the job right and measure my sit bones which worked out to be 110mm. This bit of information was a eye opener as AI says...

So let's go shopping... After sorting through everyone's 130mm ish saddles from everywhere a decision was made...
A Brooks Cambium Carbon 132mm wide, 262ish grams (for comparison purposes a Selle Flite weighs 190 grams), rubber and cotton suspension saddle that should help making the hell for stiff frame more liveable.
