1995 Rocky mountain Altitude build thread. Updated July 10th.

Smokes are slow in hard pack and smooth terrain. Tires come and go. Avoid cutting the steerer. A race face system stem would look good there as well and it´s easier to deal w/ uncut steerers

I agree about the stem. Syncros don't allow spacers on the top!! Ill see.

First ride this Sunday. 31 km. I need to work on FD and RD and chainring. Some shift and chain friction. Handlebar is wide but I like it ( I have a Titec Ti and maybe ill try it, but hard to get used to 56cm after 15 years wth 70-74cm! Fork also need some overhauling. Very stiff with 30-40 psi....
Smoke tires look better than 2,3 maxxis. I couldn't use them, interference tire/fd!!
Happy and enjoying it a lot!

You've done a great job, well done! Just a bit of fine tuning sounds like

That's a lovely looking backdrop 😍

Looking great. First ride after a rebuild is always epic (even with the minor adjustments!)

New pics. Some changes:
Pewter Ringle repros. I also have a Hugi 240 black, with black Mavic X517 and black spokes. I think they will look nice.

Today I did my second real mountain ride, and stopped at a local chapel to do some pray for my mum ( at the hospital). I found a nice place to do new pics. My house wall is not a nice background. Some comments that maybe can help:
- Seat clamp, I've spare ones available in CNC , stronger and safer. As I told you.
- Synchros seatpost is the nicest here.
- For me, Flite to fits very well. I've one spare in nice cond.
- Mag21 gold version or Judy XC gold also fits nicely.
- Advices by some retrogurus, black wheels, hubs, stem and seatpost fits very well , at least in 95 altitude.
- I installed a riser bar for good handling, I can't enjoy a 560mm bar anymore once riding riser bars since 90's.
- I bought improve parts skewers Ringle repro. Good quality and price.
- Xtr M900 fits well, it's very elegant like the frame.
