Like nearly all of you, I’ve been into mtb’s since a kid back in the late 80’s. I would buy MBUK magazine every month without fail to dream over the various bikes that were far out of reach.
In my 17 years of “retro” collecting, there have been a few bikes on the list and this is certainly one of them. Had to get it when the opportunity arrived as I was after an 18 inch frame in Grello.
Picked up the frame and forks from @Tomianson a few weeks back and set about the build. I was initially opting for XT m73x parts, but after a few beers and a chat with @shepp I decided to source some M900 goodies.
For those who will ask, the repaint was done by Argos, Bristol about 4-5 years ago by previous owner @3onner.
The topline cranks appeared on eBay at the right time and I thought they would add a little turquoise bling.
Some of you will have seen this at the Malverns last weekend, so I thought I’d add a thread.
