Postage from the mainland to NI and vice versa is no more expensive than posting it to the house next door if you use RM, Parcelforce or any of the other couriers that are just RM in disguise. It boils my piss the amount of ad's on ebay that offer items with RM 1st or 2nd class postage but state mainland only as if it costs them any extra, but that's for a separate rant...
Go to Halfords or a local bike shop, pick up a box (they'll thank you for saving them from having to dump it) and you should be able to post a bike either way for £20. Insurance is extra but the last bike I posted to the mainland cost around £40 insured for 1k. I can't remember which courier it was but it was Parcelforce who collected it.
Oh, and get some pictures up. I wouldn't spend £8.95 let alone £895 unless I could see some detailed pictures of what I was being asked to buy
