I think it’s very pretty apart from.............
The black stem. Silver would look so much lighter in all ways. And match the post.

Ah ha! If only that were so…. It is in fact a rather fetching shade of dark blue… 8)

And matches up with the dark blue of the bar tape, although funnily enough, not so much in this photo.

This in fact was the subject of some debate between myself and Our Jimmy, both the blue and a silver Cinneli were on offer & I did suggest the silver might match up with the seat pin a little better. But Jimmy argued that he can’t see the seat pin when ridding so would rather get the cockpit looking sharp.. 8)

A patch of blue sky the size of a Gentleman’s handkerchief appeared over East Yorkshire so I quickly snapped these.... Just as an FYI - SDG did a version of the Bel Air saddle in a stars and stripes motif.
It might be worth keeping an eye open for one.

Re:

Fantastic looking bike and an engineers attention to detail, those Clement tyres take me back as I was one of the very few people running them B.I.T.D. I think the reason they never really caught on as I remember the puncture repair spray was awful stuff to use, and often didn't actually work

Yeah, although with the current situation I’m guessing most of our rides will be local (with Mrs Peachy just a phone call away) so we may as well use them… :D
