After a nice little 12 mile “Covid” run out, Jimmy and I had a look through “the road queue” to see realistically what might be built and what really needs moving on.... all the “real” pre-1957 Clauds, obviously but then what about the Holdsworthys?
'62 Cordon Bleu, Early & super top of the range but not original paint.
'65 Torino, Near top of range and very good original paint, definitely a keeper
’68 Holdsworth Mistral (same frame as CB Torino) wrong brand!
'76 Competitor, Original would have been very nice but chrome needs too much work
'79 Jubilee, mid range....
'80 Italia, very nice racer, forks and stays set for 700’s
'81 Colstar, Perfect size, but a clubman so racing angles but long stays & forks for mudguards
'81 Classic TT, one off shop built special with forks & stays for 700’s and it’s Gold....

Ok, so ‘65 Torino & ‘81 TT it is.... but then I pointed out to Jimmy that the old Italian threaded Record hubs on his Concorde were always destined for the Torino and the Ambrosia rims for the TT!

What’s the plan Dad? Says Our Jimmy... Red anodised FIR EL19 700’s on Campagnolo Nuovo Tipo hubs....
Best get building.

Had these beautiful rims for a while now... I think the Concorde is loud enough to get away with them?

Or are you referring to the impending/inevitable sell off of the stash? :D

They should look good and are in keeping with the era.
You could fab up some discs for them! ;)

No I was referring to the post that said ‘finished’
As soon as someone says that out loud the inevitable ‘tinkering’ or strip down begins :)

You mean like a bespoke vinyl wrap over a HED wheel? He might need a bit of time to save that up from his pocket money
