So...the boy for some inexplicable reason is still growing..
And now can sit on my 24" Colstar albeit on tipy-toes and with the seatpost all the way down...and he's not turned 14 yet!
So it's unlikely the Concorde will take him through 2021, as he's already complaining of back ache at around 15 or 20 miles.
This frame will get moved on at some point but we'll want to strap the Campagnolo group set on to something larger (59cm/24" sort of size)
The boy likes the idea of something Italian, or maybe something in 653/853 tubed... rough paint job would be ok so we could pick our own finish plus if it keeps the cost down all the better....
Any suggestions?
PS.. he does want to eventually upgrade to more modern components but after trying out some of his friends aluminium and carbon modern bikes he was very much unimpressed...
"the ali was too stiff and the carbon sounded like a shop mobility scooter"
